One of the latest episodes deleted, first reported by Digital Music News, was episode No. 411 with Bulletproof Coffee founder Dave Asprey. The podcast episode initially aired in November 2013 but is now unavailable to Spotify listeners, bringing the total to three episodes featuring Asprey that have been deleted overall.

The Spotify exclusive podcast host landed a $100 million deal with Spotify last year making Joe Rogan THE wealthiest podcaster to date.

LATEST NEWS

Though Joe Rogan’s podcast deal didn’t start smoothly, with a number of Spotify employees last year threatening to strike if certain episodes they claimed were transphobic weren’t deleted from the platform. Others wanted Rogan removed from Spotify altogether.

It turns out Joe Rogan knew about the removal of these episodes. “There were a few episodes they didn’t want on their platform,” Rogan said, per DMN. “And I was like, ‘OK, I don’t care.’”

It’s unclear why the episodes have been purged, but as Digital Media Network pointed out, “One explanation for the removals is that Asprey frequently backs controversial anti-aging and scientific theories.

Other episodes that have been deleted include comedian Chris D’Elia, who was recently accused of having sex with and soliciting more than 100 nude photos from a 17-year-old girl, as well as episodes with Gavin McInnes, Eddie Bravo, Alex Jones and Milo Yiannopoulos.

Joe Rogan's new studio

Joe Rogan also teased his new studio last week on his Instagram.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

In September 2020, Joe finally made his move Austin Texas, and with that move (bonus) came a change in the podcast studio.

But the new studio hasn’t been popular among fans, with many calling it “tacky.”

Joe has been keeping fans posted on the progress on the studio behind the scenes, and the new ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ sign is made by Roadhouse Relics, which he says is part of the “new studio project.”
