Podes, the only Portuguese podcast festival, took place from 2 to 8 November, offering live shows, panels, webinars and the Podes awards, for the best Portuguese podcasts.
The festival closed on Sunday evening, with the award ceremony being broadcast for the first time ever on Canal Q, an independent cable channel.
The awards process started in September, when a free registration was open for all podcasts. At the same time, open submission was available for the People’s Choice award, which ran until 15 October.
After registration was closed, shortlists were created for each category, according to the criteria set in the regulations, and a jury of 16 members was tasked with electing 5 nominees and 1 winner for each prize. The Best Podcast was also selected out of all the category winners.
