Lerato is an SEO specialist whose clients include BBE Podcast Agency, the UN and she started the podcast in 2019 while in the process of buying her own home – a process she quickly found to be different to America (where she purchased her first apartment).
Like majority of the millenial generation, there are plenty of mistakes they make when purchasing their first properties. During her journey, Lerato wanted to help other people (both young and mature) to learn from the mistakes she made during her process.
Unpack Property is the ultimate destination for property matters, 1st time buyers/investors and financial literacy for millenials. “If you want to save smarter and grow wealth through property investments in Africa, this is the podcast for you” says Lerato.
Some of the podcast’s guests include: hotelier and CEO of Daze House Gabriel Leavell, First Black and former South African governor of the Reserve Bank Tito Mboweni, South African’s Finance minister Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane and CEO of Prop Tech Ruppert Finnemore to mention a few guests.
Why a property podcast? We asked. “Property is a good investment option as it provides a stable income (depending on the type of property) and capital growth,” said Lerato.
“I have also registered PropCo (Property Company) and my goal is to build a vacation rental in South Africa. There are so many challenges I’m facing and sometimes it’s easier to get things done in other countries.”
“I also want to help other African females to start and scale podcasts through the African Women Podcasters network. As for my podcast, I will create ebooks for people interested in learning about property investment.”
